The Libraries are aware that many of our vendor databases have rolled out AI tools. In order to properly assess their veracity, the library will be turning off the following AI tools so we can make an assessment of their quality. The library will be using several frameworks to assess these tools and make a determination about what tools we will add and which tools we will leave off.
The following AI tools will be turned off on Monday, September 21st:
- EBSCO AI Assisted Search
- EBSCO Ask This Document (ASK AI) beta
- JSTOR AI Research Tool
We will provide updates to the Saint Mary’s community as we work through our assessment.
