Reserving Library Materials
You can reserve materials for student use. This includes library-owned materials as well as your own personal copies. At the end of the semester, we will return the items to you unless you have made other arrangements.
- Interlibrary loan books and articles
- Photocopies without proof of copyright permission
We do not offer an e-reserve service; however, you can link to resources in Canvas, which enables you to abide by copyright given that Saint Mary’s faculty assume responsibility for copyright law infringements.
You may also reserve library materials (e.g., books, DVDs, assessment tests, etc.) for specific dates. Faculty often use this service to reserve DVDs to show in class; however, it may be used for any item. Note: If you need to obtain the items from another library, we cannot guarantee the length of the loan periods.
Suggest a Purchase
If you would like to reserve an item that we do not own, you can suggest a purchase.
