Reserving Library Materials

Course Reserves

You can reserve materials for student use. This includes library-owned materials as well as your own personal copies. At the end of the term, we will return personal copies to you unless you have made other arrangements.

Ineligible

• Interlibrary loan books and articles
• Coursepacks
• Photocopies without proof of copyright permission

E-Reserves

We do not offer an e-reserve service; however, you can link to resources in Canvas, which enables you to abide by copyright given that Saint Mary’s faculty assume responsibility for copyright law infringements.

Requesting

You may also request items for your own use by placing holds on Saint Mary’s Libraries’ materials or by requesting interlibrary loans. Note: If you need to obtain the items from another library, we cannot guarantee the length of the loan periods.

Suggest a Purchase

If you would like to reserve an item that we do not own, you can suggest a purchase.
