ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT) is the world’s most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses. Find nearly three million searchable citations to dissertation and theses from around the world. ProQuest provides a 24-page preview of all dissertations in this collection. Although PQDT only provides a 24-page preview, students can obtain a print copy of the full dissertation through interlibrary loan.

Open Access Theses and Dissertations (OATD) indexes open access graduate theses and dissertations published around the world. Metadata comes from over 600 colleges, universities, and research institutions. OATD currently indexes over 1.5 million theses and dissertations. Although OATD includes links to the full text.
OCLC WorldCat Dissertations and Theses (Abstract Only)
The OCLC catalog of dissertations and theses lists dissertations available in libraries across the United States. Although OCLC WorldCat Dissertations and Theses does not provide full text access, students can obtain a print copy of the full dissertation through interlibrary loan.
Purchase
Dissertation Express is an online ordering service, through which students and faculty members can browse and purchase from over 1.9 million graduate dissertations and theses. Dissertations ordered online are available in unbound shrink-wrapped format only.
To order, please give your dissertation request and a check to a Twin Cities Library staff member. Make the check payable to ProQuest. It is less expensive to order through Twin Cities Library’s account than as an individual ($33 versus $44). Twin Cities Library will order the dissertation from ProQuest, take care of the billing and invoice, and alert you when your dissertation is available for pick up.
