P Values and Other Inferential Statistics

1. Start with the library’s pre-set search for inferential studies.
2. Log in with your Saint Mary’s email and password.
3. Enter a general topic into the second search box (e.g., unemployment).
4. Select Search.
5. Skim the Abstract, Methods, and Results sections of relevant articles for information about confidence intervals, alpha values, and p-values.
   Note: Not all articles in your search results will contain the information you are looking for, so you must evaluate each article you find.
